The board is thrilled that Ann Tyndall has been confirmed as our newest board member and president-elect. Ann has been very involved in the working with DEI, Voter Services, and Programs. Please thank Ann when you see her for stepping up to help.
The Program Team reported on their work to firm up events for the upcoming year.
- First up is Learn with League: Fall Ballot Questions on September 23 at 5:30 at the Library to understand the impact of the constitutional amendments on the ballot in November. Our speaker Rachel Snyder will introduce you to what is at stake. Please come and bring a friend!
- Partnering with the Women’s Fund, we will followup with a Community Conversation: The Anti-Equity Ballot Question on October 7 at 4:30 at the library. A panel of local leaders will explore the impact of the third of three amendment questions on the fall election ballot.
- Please check out Events on the website for more programs including a Media Literacy lunch later in October (date still being firmed up).
Some ongoing work the Board is digging into is developing a survey to gather data around member interests and preferences as well as an update on the roles of our teams. If any of this work sounds interesting to you, please reach out and lend a hand. All of our teams would love more volunteers.
Most important though is to know that we are only 46 days to the election. Please reach out to friends and family about the importance of voting on November 3 and being informed.
