About this event
Why Should We Vote?
Join us for a virtual conversation on voting presented by the League of Women Voters members Chris Haskell and Ann Tyndall.
You will come away with an understanding of how voting in a democracy undergirds the work of local government, education, business, and health care:
Upholding values of community organizations.
Defending democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
Voting as a fundamental expression of belonging.
Presenters:
Chris Haskell
Retired after 35 years of teaching in public schools.
Chris joined the League in 2016 and serves on the Communications Team, Observer Corps, and Voter Services Team.
Ann Tyndall
Retired Health Care Chaplain who joined the League two years ago to support democracy and voting during these challenging times.
She is the convener for the League Membership’s DEI working group. She is president-elect of the La Crosse League of Women Voters.
