Learn About Reintegration Programs for Prisoners

The League of Women Voters has long championed justice reform and the protection of voting rights, including for incarcerated individuals.
Community re-entry programs play a crucial role in this mission, aiding formerly incarcerated people in their transition back into society through education on voting rights and civic engagement.
La Crosse is home to the Project Proven re-entry program, supported by Western Technical College since 2013. Project Proven has successfully assisted hundreds of individuals in readjusting to community life. Its primary goal is to support those released from jail or prison, helping them reclaim their roles as productive, engaged community members. The program focuses on education, job training, mental health services, housing support and civic engagement.
The League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area invites you to learn more about this impactful program from Project Proven leaders Dillon Mader and Colin Walsh. Join us virtually or in person at the Waterfront in La Crosse at noon Nov. 13. Registration is available on our website — visit the “Events” page at lwvlacrosse.org.
The League of Women Voters supports re-entry programs like Project Proven, which help individuals become successful members of their communities. We believe in the humane treatment of incarcerated people and that a focus on rehabilitation is essential for a successful return to full citizenship.
